9:20 am   Session I: What is next for Canadian and European oil and gas?
Canada is a stable and growing supplier of energy in a world where the majority of oil and gas resources are controlled by National Energy Companies. Despite high production costs in a world awash in oil, Canada presents significant long term investment and trade opportunities. The UK and Europe are energy leaders, including in offshore production, LNG and in application of advanced technologies and energy systems. The two sides have formed an axis in a globalized world characterised by high levels of investment, trade and technical cooperation. Panelists will discuss the commercial strategies and policy approaches that are being pursued in the Canada Europe energy relationship.
