Panelists will examine the risks – and the rewards – in the energy sector in this time of tremendous change, when regional events have turned the focus in Western Europe to the issue of energy security. Discussions will cover areas of growth in Canadian and European energy markets, including how firms on both sides of the Atlantic can work strategically together on infrastructure, production and technical innovations in heavy oil, shale oil and gas, LNG and other advanced energy technologies. The session will also focus on the public policy decisions that are being made to diversify Canada’s oil and gas exports and offer insights on how to ensure security of supply in the UK and continental Europe.
